Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Spokane Valley to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will coach team members, maintain visual standards, and ensure efficient scheduling and staffing to meet store goals.

Ideal candidates bring retail leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to running a busy sportswear store while upholding Lids’ brand standards and customer-first philosophy.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and clear verbal communication.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through training programs and goal setting.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for unexpected peaks.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations, and address issues to 'make it right'.
• Encourage store membership program participation and in-store offers.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and store cleanliness.
• Open and close the store according to SOP.
