Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lynchburg, VA to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will manage staff, train associates, and ensure compliance with company standards while maintaining a fun and inclusive store atmosphere.

Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, staffing, training, and store performance, as well as enforcing visual merchandising and POS accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive sales while minimizing loss (shrink).
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and supervise others when needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues or customer complaints.
• Lead store associates through training programs and goal setting.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings when needed.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and adhere to brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including coverage during peak periods.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safeguard inventory, funds and property.
• Support inventory accuracy through audits and cycle counts.
