Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop the store team. The role involves assisting with daily functions, merchandising, and administrative tasks to support the store’s performance.

You will supervise associates, ensure safety and policy compliance, and maintain a well-organized, welcoming store environment while working closely with leadership to drive results.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience preferred in retail/grocery/drug store environments.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide positive customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures and administrative tasks (payroll, scheduling, deposits).
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, and adhere to policies and procedures.
