Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; management experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff in a retail environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and company policies.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels or terminates as needed.
• Reviews pay rate and advancement decisions; ensures staffing levels meet store needs.
• Communicates expectations and conducts meetings to enforce safety and policies.
• Opens and closes the store as required; ensures security and cash controls.
• Analyzes sales, profitability and inventory trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Manages stock levels, ordering, and replenishment to meet targets.
• Maintains presentation standards and proper pricing/signage across merchandise.
