Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will recruit, train and supervise staff, manage scheduling, and ensure adherence to cash handling and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include optimizing inventory, analyzing sales trends and controlling costs while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean, welcoming shopping space.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling and POS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws and policies.
• Train staff; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps.
• Set pay, advancement, and coaching decisions.
• Communicate expectations and coordinate safety and policies.
• Open/close the store as scheduled or assigned.
• Analyze sales, profitability and inventory trends for decisions.
• Ensure stock, replenishment and merchandising standards.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and loss prevention controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Keep the store clean, safe and well-organized.
