Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leader to oversee all store operations including ordering, stocking, merchandising, and staffing. You will supervise employees, train and evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to safety and company policies.

Responsibilities include managing cash handling, inventory, and daily store openings/closes while delivering strong customer service and a secure shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects and retains qualified employees; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Trains staff, conducts performance evaluations and counsels when needed.
• Directs store operations including ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation.
• Monitors sales, profitability, and inventory to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintains cash control, key security, and compliance with company policies.
• Ensures safe, clean, and well-organized store environment daily.
