Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a General Manager to lead store operations, staffing, and customer service. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, and daily store functions while ensuring compliance with policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per labor laws and policies.
• Provide training, evaluations, and coaching; address gaps and termination as needed.
• Adjust staffing by opening/closing the store as required, and ensure security measures.
• Monitor sales, inventory, and costs to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and proper merchandising presentation.
• Enforce cash control procedures and cashier accountability.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
