Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC in Yonkers is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. This role drives merchandising, staff training, and adherence to policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, experience in retail management, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs while maintaining high service standards.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a retail setting.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and professional environment for customers and staff.
