Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New York LLC in Rochester seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will supervise associates, assist with merchandise planning, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers.

This role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), retail experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Support store manager in training and development of store associates
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety
