Job summary

The Children’s Place in Lakewood, California is seeking a Store Lead to support the Store Leadership Team by handling cash-wrap operations, opening/closing procedures, and serving as Leader on Duty (LOD). You will represent the brand, engage customers, and uphold store standards.

You will coach and develop associates, contribute to store profitability through scheduling and leadership, and help deliver an excellent shopping experience with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years previous retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing talent through the training of associates, including giving in-the-moment coaching conversations.
• Foster a positive work environment and provide feedback in a timely manner.
• Motivate and inspire associates to build brand loyalty and create a positive store environment.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service behaviors on the sales floor.
• Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
• Participate in Leader on Duty (LOD) program to drive store profitability while leveraging payroll.
• Process payroll weekly.
• Modify schedule based on business climate.
• Maintain a clean, organized stockroom and ensure CRE standards & safety.
• Support management to maximize productivity through knowledge and customer service.
