Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training; conduct performance evaluations; counseling/termination as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed daily.
• Open the store at least twice weekly and close at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability, trends; manage expenses.
• Forecast ordering; review plans; supervise stock and cycle counts.
• Facilitate merchandising, pricing and signage; maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure cash control and security procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized store.
• Ensure tools/equipment ready to perform tasks.
• Follow SOPs and complete paperwork.
