Job summary

Dollar General seeks an experienced store manager to lead a busy retail team in Mineral, VA. You will hire, train and evaluate staff, manage daily operations, control inventory and cash, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all employees in planning and implementing store processes including staffing, training and performance evaluations.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and effective opening/closing procedures.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and presentation of merchandise.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and financial integrity through cash control and reporting.
