Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for solutions and counseling, up to termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events to promote safety and policies.
• Ensures store is staffed and opened/closed as required, including twice weekly openings and closings.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Manages ordering to meet in-stock targets and reviews weekly inventory plans.
• Ensures merchandise is presented per standards with proper pricing and signage.
• Maintains inventory accuracy through controls on damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Maintains cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
