Dollar General seeks an experienced store manager to oversee all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service. You will drive sales, ensure compliance with policies, and lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage cash handling, scheduling, and performance reviews. A high school diploma and retail management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel up to termination as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; lead meetings and events.
• Open and close the store reliably several times per week.
• Monitor operating statements to identify trends, profits, and shrink.
• Manage stock levels and reorder plans; oversee cycle counts and replenishment.
• Maintain proper presentation, pricing and signage of merchandise.
• Ensure security and cash controls; maintain inventory accuracy and damages.
