Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; business school training preferred.
• Five+ years of retail store experience is preferred, including 1–2 years in a store manager role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.
• Experience with cash handling, loss prevention, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Reviews operating statements to identify trends in sales and profitability and opportunities for expense control.
• Reviews Ad/Planner ordering plans and perishable/food ordering processes to maximize sales and minimize markdowns.
• Ensures in-stock targets are met and that store processes run smoothly and on time.
• Maintains cashier accountability, key control, scanning accuracy and adherence to security procedures.
• Recruits, trains, schedules and develops store staff; evaluates performance and conducts coaching as needed.
