Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership professional to manage all store processes, including staffing, training, and daily operation. You will lead execution of merchandising, customer service, and safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong people management, scheduling, and adherence to company policies. Prior retail management experience and a high school diploma are preferred, with emphasis on cash handling and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and safety policies is expected.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per federal and state laws and company policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps with counseling or termination as needed.
• Make recommendations on employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Personally open and close the store at least twice per week.
