Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Newport News, VA. You will empower your team to deliver memorable customer moments in a fast-paced retail setting, while driving store performance and embracing our inclusive culture.

Lead a diverse team, recruit and train Associates, and implement plans to meet sales and service targets. This role offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package with discounts and wellness programs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
Ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and provide feedback.

Responsibilities

Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing operations including merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, and scheduling.
Recruit, train, and mentor Associates to ensure a positive and engaging customer experience.
Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, and store changes; support succession planning.
