Job summary

TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to foster an inclusive, high-energy environment in our New York store network. You’ll empower Associates, drive sales, manage operations, and deliver memorable customer moments.

In this role you’ll recruit and develop a large team, oversee merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention, and partner with leadership to meet performance targets while maintaining store standards and a strong guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving with shrink control.
• Recruit, train, and develop Associates; serve as mentor and role model to ensure positive experiences for staff and customers.
• Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, and store changes; contribute to succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and improve layout and efficiency.
