Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of retail grocery store experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing merchandise according to established practices and manager directions.
• Assists in inventory management including damages, markdowns, scan paperwork and controls; conducts inventories.
• Follows ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Adheres to company procedures and policies from handbook and SOPs.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures safe deposit of all company funds.
• Maintains cashier accountability and cash control procedures for financial integrity.
• Keeps store clean, well-stocked and safe for customers and employees.
• Operates store in the store manager’s absence.
• Reviews operating statements to identify trends and opportunities (sales, labor, profitability, inventory turn).
• Completes paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
