Job summary

The position emphasizes customer service leadership, adherence to company policies, and accurate cash handling, with responsibilities across opening/closing, reporting, and store maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Strong math skills for calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies.
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing and hiring processes including compliance.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems in variable situations.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and presenting merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and conduct inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Adhere to company procedures and policies per handbook and SOPs.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of all company funds and cash controls.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
