Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina seeks a Store Manager to lead daily store operations and personnel for a demanding retail environment. You will drive customer service, achieve budget targets, and maintain a safe, compliant workplace while coaching associates and developing leadership talent.

You will oversee hiring, training, and performance management, while partnering with regional leadership to implement development frameworks and loss-prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus post‑secondary credits required.
• Associate degree preferred for advancement.
• Operational management experience in General Manager roles (retail, manufacturing, hospitality) required with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as General Manager of a site overseeing all store operations and personnel management.
• Foster cohesion among team members and cultivate a positive organizational culture.
• Handle escalated customer service matters and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Manage operational costs, including labor and supplies, and meet sales targets.
• Oversee hiring, training, onboarding, and coaching of store associates; grow leadership for assistants.
• Ensure timely responses to inquiries from leaders and support staff within 24–48 hours.
• Open and close store operations, conduct cash counts, and prepare for customer engagement.
• Maintain staffing coverage and arrange replacements as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop loss prevention initiatives with Regional Director to mitigate shrinkage.
