Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels or terminates as needed.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance expectations; leads safety and policy meetings.
• Ensures adequate staffing; opens and closes store several times weekly.
• Evaluates store performance including sales, profitability and shrink.
• Manages ordering and inventory to meet in-stock targets weekly.
• Facilitates merchandise staging and stock processes.
• Maintains proper pricing, signage and product presentation.
• Controls inventory, damages, markdowns, and cash controls.
• Maintains cash registers and cash handling procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
• Follows SOPs and completes paperwork on time.
