Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager responsible for leading all employees, planning and implementing store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. You will recruit, train, evaluate performance, and manage store operations to meet KPIs.

You will ensure open/close routines, inventory control, and adherence to company policies while delivering superior customer service and maintaining a safe, well-organized store environment.

Qualifications

• ;Reading diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals; basic math and percentage calculations; cash handling procedures; using IBM cash registers to generate reports; inventory and merchandising practices; effective communication and teamwork; knowledge of recruiting and termination practices; cash, safety and deposit controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage store employees, staffing and scheduling.
• Train staff, conduct performance reviews and counseling.
• Define pay rate recommendations and advancement for employees.
• Communicate performance, safety expectations and policies; coordinate meetings.
• Open/close store at required frequencies.
• Evaluate operating statements and inventory management; manage in-stock targets.
• Ensure proper stock replenishment and merchandise presentation.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety and security; ensure tools and equipment availability.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and policies; complete required paperwork.
