Carter’s Inc. in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Store Manager who will lead a team of associates to deliver exceptional service and growth for our baby and kids brands.

You’ll coach staff, optimize operations, and execute merchandising and payroll duties to meet store goals while building a positive, inclusive environment. With at least 3 years of retail management, you’ll recruit, develop leaders, manage weekly schedules, and ensure a memorable shopping experience for families.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Build a talent pipeline through networking and recruiting; develop succession plans by training and developing your team
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment for employees to collaborate and recognize performance
• Grow leaders through providing direction, delegation, and investing in their development
• Create a genuine customer focus on the sales floor by leading and directing the Leader on Duty program
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Build customer loyalty through directing and coaching the team on the benefits of customer participation in our Loyalty programs
• Execute Company’s direction on merchandising and operations; manage payroll and budgets
• Understand and analyze KPIs and identify behaviors to drive results
• Seamlessly lead and integrate an omnichannel experience ensuring teams are trained on the tools available
• Reduce loss through a consistent level of customer service, education, and operational controls
