Job summary

Foot Locker in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to energize the sales floor, coach the team, and own store execution. You’ll partner with the Store Manager to deliver sales results, uphold service standards, and keep daily operations running smoothly.

With an 'Always on, Never no' mindset, ASMs lead by example, ensure excellent customer experiences, and support hiring, training, and development of associates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience with leadership or key-holding responsibilities.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for customer interactions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain store organization, ensure readiness, and protect customers and products.
