Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Florida LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at a part-time level in Georgia. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise handling, and opening/closing procedures, while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

You will lead a small team, train associates, and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling), and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
• Other duties as assigned
