Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store operations, including staffing, ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling. You will lead and develop the team, monitor performance, ensure compliance with policy, control expenses, and maintain a safe, customer-friendly environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training staff, scheduling, opening/closing the store, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be given preference.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and address performance gaps.
• Manage pay recommendations and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings and events.
• Open and close the store reliably each day.
• Review sales, expenses, and inventory to identify trends and control costs.
