Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, and customer service leadership. Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to labor laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels or terminates as needed.
• Makes recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events.
• Opens and closes the store at required frequencies.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Manages ordering and inventory planning; reviews BSR and cycle counts.
• Facilitates staging, stocking, and merchandise storage per processes.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to standards with pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory by controlling damages and shrink.
• Ensures financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Ensures store has tools and equipment to perform tasks.
• Follows SOPs and company communications; ensures compliance.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on time.
