Job summary

Kohl's is seeking a Store Manager to lead the store team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive sales and profitability. You will coach and develop associates, hire, and ensure operational execution across merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention.

You will set staffing levels, monitor payroll, and align with business plans while upholding company policies and standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience supervising 20 or more associates, including performance management and employment decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven people management skills with ability to develop talent.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to achieve profitable sales and meet financial plans through strategic leadership.
• Manage staffing and payroll by scheduling and labor cost control based on sales trends.
• Recruit, hire, and make personnel decisions for all store levels.
• Handle associate relations and performance management per company policies.
• Direct training for new hires on Kohl’s culture, product knowledge, and selling practices.
• Coach staff and create development plans; build succession for associates.
• Ensure accurate inventory processes, pricing, and ticketing.
• Prevent loss and enforce policies with Loss Prevention partners.
• Maintain merchandising standards and product presentation aligned with directives.
• Manage floor replenishment and on-floor stock levels.
• Create a compelling store experience with strong customer service and efficient POS operations.
