Job summary

Kohl’s is seeking a Store Manager to lead the entire store team, shaping customer experience and associate engagement. You will coach, develop, and hold staff accountable for service, merchandising, and operations, while driving sales and profitability.

You will guide payroll planning, recruitment decisions, training, and continuous process improvements to ensure store KPIs are met and customers leave satisfied.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising 20+ associates and making employment decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Proven people management and talent development capabilities
• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to achieve profitability and customer experience goals
• Manage payroll planning, scheduling and labor costs based on sales
• Recruiting, hiring, compensation, and performance decisions for store personnel
• Handle associate relations, performance management and policy compliance
• Oversee training for new hires on Kohl's culture, product knowledge and selling practices
• Coach and develop associates, create succession plans
• Ensure accurate receiving, inventory, pricing and ticketing procedures
• Prevent loss through education and adherence to policies with Loss Prevention
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and compelling product presentation
• Ensure adequate floor stock and timely replenishment
• Deliver a high-speed, customer-focused store experience at the point of sale
