Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all aspects of store operations and customer experience.

You will lead teams, manage budgets, and drive sales while maintaining Kroger’s standards for service, safety, and cost control. Responsibilities include coordinating merchandising and operations initiatives, communicating action plans to staff, and partnering with department heads to identify opportunities and implement timely solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager or equivalent role.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing associates to achieve customer service, operational, and business goals.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to identify opportunities and support decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence store performance.
• Proven success driving customer experience, sales growth, and operational excellence.
• Experience managing competing priorities while leading teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in creating a favorable customer shopping experience and develop associate interest in customer service/relations.
• Assist Store Manager in leading teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising/operating initiatives.
• Develop action plans and communications to associates based on Associate Insight survey results.
• Identify store opportunities with department heads and create timely solutions and action plans for implementation.
• Model and require the highest level of customer service and address associate/customer concerns.
• Manage total store operations in the store manager’s absence.
• Help achieve weekly, period, and annual sales, wage budgets and profit budgets, including safety and shrink targets.
• Drive sales by collaborating with department managers to maximize sales and reduce shrink.
• Participate in regular store-level financial discussions on budgets and expenses.
