Staples in Frisco, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive sales, services and customer engagement, guiding a team to deliver total solutions for customers and ensure the store is ready for business.

You will lead a high-performing team through coaching, training and role playing, while achieving sales goals, controlling costs and coordinating store operations. This role requires strong communication and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry.
• Experience managing and coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Review results against business goals and develop plans for growth and improvement.
• Manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and lift 10–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development.
• Develop a high-performing team focused on delivering an exceptional store experience, consultative selling, and total solutions.
• Coach and train the team through role playing to improve performance.
• Achieve sales and service goals, manage profit margins and ensure store operations execution.
• Establish sales readiness cadence and direct merchandising opportunities.
• Delegate operational tasks in partnership with the GM and share responsibility for store operations and cost control.
