Job summary

Kohl's in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Store Manager to lead the entire store team, drive sales and profitability, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will teach, coach and develop associates, ensure merchandising standards, and maintain efficient operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will plan and control payroll, recruit and manage staff, and collaborate with Loss Prevention to protect assets while upholding Kohl's policies and values.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising 20+ associates and making employment decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Guide store team to achieve profitable sales and meet financial plans.
• Plan payroll and staffing based on store traffic and weekly/monthly sales.
• Recruit, hire, and manage store personnel at all levels.
• Handle associate relations and performance management in line with policy.
• Train new hires on Kohl's culture, product knowledge and selling practices.
• Coach and develop associates and create succession plans.
• Ensure accurate inventory control with proper receiving, pricing and ticketing.
• Prevent loss through policy enforcement and Loss Prevention partnership.
• Maintain merchandising standards and appealing product presentation.
• Direct floor replenishment and ensure optimal product availability.
• Create a positive store experience with responsive customer service.
