Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist supervision, merchandising, paperwork, and deposits, while performing stocking and cashier duties to maximize profitability and minimize losses.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, safety, planograms, and maintaining inventory and cash controls. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages, markdowns, scanning and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and merchandise presentation per direction.
• Ensure financial integrity: cashier accountability, refunds, deposits, cash counts.
• Assist with store management in Store Manager's absence.
