Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Kirkland is seeking a capable Leader to serve as the Person In Charge, overseeing the entire store and modeling professional customer service. You will supervise the front end, coordinate cashier schedules, and support staff with coaching and training to maintain high standards of safety and policy compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to resolve issues quickly, and hands-on experience with retail grocery operations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work closing shifts, including weekends.
• Excellent leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly assess situations and think of creative solutions.
• Ability to operate an electronic register – basic math skills and 10-key proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Models and provides excellent, professional customer service.
• Oversees the entire store ensuring PCC policies and procedures are followed.
• Supervises the frontend; oversees scheduling and duties of Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Provides support, training, and coaching to staff.
• Handles security issues carefully and responsibly.
• Maintains orderly appearance of register area and ensures sanitation and safety standards.
• Protects the safety of staff and customers and PCC property security.
• Handles daily equipment use and resolves problems per store standards.
• Cashiers when needed.
• Closing PICs count tills and perform other closing tasks.
