Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all aspects of store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will recruit, train, and evaluate staff, ensure staffing levels meet business needs, and drive sales through effective merchandising and customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of inventory management, and adherence to company policies, with the ability to open/close the store and maintain safe, compliant store practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret procedures manuals and safety guidelines.
• Strong math skills for cash handling and pricing tasks.
• Experience with cash handling and deposit control procedures.
• Familiarity with IBM cash registers and POS systems.
• Knowledge of retail inventory and merchandising practices.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing and training store staff.
