Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store manager to lead all store operations, staff planning and execution of daily tasks. You will recruit, train and supervise employees, ensure safety and customer service excellence, and maintain inventory and cash control.

The role requires adherence to company policies, performance coaching, and successful store opening/closing procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is staffed.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, identify gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Set pay-rate recommendations and advancement paths.
• Communicate expectations on performance, conduct and safety; lead meetings.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring proper operations.
