Job summary

Journeys is seeking energetic candidates for a Manager in Training role at our stores. You will recruit, train, and manage store personnel to hit sales goals while protecting company assets.

This position offers rapid promotion from within, a fun environment with the coolest people around, and the opportunity to develop leadership in a fast-paced teen retail setting. Must be able to work 45 hours per week, nights and weekend shifts, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment.
• Completion of all training programs leading up to Manager in Training position or equivalent training.
• Ability to work 45 hours per week, night and weekend shifts, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals.
• Recruit, interview, and hire in-store staff.
• Train and develop a successful sales team.
• Provide coaching and ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee daily store operations and loss prevention.
• Plan weekly staffing schedules.
• Deliver a fun, full-service customer experience.
• Resolve customer issues.

• Conduct monthly performance reviews.
