Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service, manage cashier operations, stock shelves, and support merchandising displays. You will lead by example and step in for store leadership when the Store Manager is unavailable.

The role emphasizes strong communication, adherence to safety and cash-control procedures, and the ability to perform routine supervisory tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentations.
• Strong cash-handling and POS skills; basic math proficiency.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and maintain store cleanliness.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in their absence as needed.
