Job summary

Cavender's is seeking a Key Carrier to assist in managing a retail facility. The role may include cashier, receiver, or sales associate duties and may step in as Store Manager in the manager’s absence. You will help open/close the store and support daily operations and customer service.

The position requires understanding store policies, maintaining appearance and safety, and contributing to sales and profitability. Prior retail experience and reliability are valued.

Responsibilities

• Open and close store as directed.
• Assist in the management of the retail store and the supervision of store associates.
• Know necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in his/her absence.
• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Assist in the training of new store associates.
• Maintain an awareness of safety/security issues and report incidents promptly.
• Understand and implement company policies and procedures.
• Assist in increasing sales, maintaining profit structure, and reducing expenses.
• Help maintain interior/exterior store image and staff appearance.
• Maintain active role in personal selling.
• Assist in shrinkage control through preventative measures.
• Resolve personnel/customer problems and complaints.
• Perform all other duties in the retail apparel/footwear industry.
• Assist store manager in miscellaneous duties as assigned.
