Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help drive profitability while protecting company assets.

In this lead role, you will back up store management in their absence and contribute to planogram success, cashier accountability, and safe operations in a fast-paced environment in Pineville, LA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills; ability to read and follow planograms.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling and register operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; rotate displays; build displays; assist with planograms implementation.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager; perform duties in the absence of managers.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; unload deliveries and keep back areas organized.
• Assist in driving store profitability while protecting assets.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Store Manager.
