Job summary

The Children's Place in Hickory, NC seeks a Store Lead to support the Store Leadership Team with cash-wrap operations, opening/closing duties, and Leader on Duty (LOD). Represent the brand, engage customers, and uphold store standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years retail experience and a high school diploma. You will coach associates, manage schedules, and contribute to a positive, high-performing team focused on customer service and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing talent through coaching and training of associates.
• Partner with Store Manager to address performance concerns with associates.
• Support and participate in all company training and development initiatives.
• Foster a positive work environment and provide timely, objective feedback.
• Assess performance and provide feedback during daily activities and annual reviews.
• Motivate and inspire associates to build brand loyalty and create a positive store environment.
• Model, encourage, and demonstrate exceptional customer service while maintaining brand standards.
• Support management to maximize productivity through operations, product knowledge, and customer service.
• Participate in the Leader on Duty program to drive store profitability and payroll.
• Modify schedule based on business climate.
• Maintain a clean, organized stockroom and adhere to policies.
• Ensure CRE Standards & Safety requirements are met.
