Job summary

Shoe Station is seeking a Store Lead to oversee an area of the store and grow into a leadership role. This position emphasizes customer service, leadership, and efficient store operations.

The role involves directing department activities, guiding associates, and ensuring smooth transactions and displays. Candidates should have retail experience, strong communication, and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example.
• At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred).
• Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department (such as Women’s, Men’s and Children’s departments) and support overall store standards.
• Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude.
• Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling.
• Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed.
• Organize merchandise, displays, and help with truck unloading and floor moves.
• Promote current sales and programs.
• Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team.
