Job summary

Shoe Station is seeking a motivated Store Lead to oversee a department and help drive a positive shopping experience. You’ll lead by example, greet customers, train associates, and ensure strong service and product placement.

We offer flexible full-time or part-time hours, with hands-on training and opportunities to grow into a management role in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll also handle cash, learn the POS system, and help with displays and sales initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example.
At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred).
Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

Lead a department (such as Women’s, Men’s and Children’s departments) and support overall store standards.
Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude.
Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling.
Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed.
Organize merchandise, displays, and help with truck unloading and floor moves.
Promote current sales and programs.
Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team.
