Job summary

Family Dollar in Montello, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and customer service. You will help with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling to ensure a well-run store.

The role requires effective communication, a strong customer-service focus, and the ability to train and develop Store Associates in a high-energy retail environment. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Montello location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.
• Solid problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and stock merchandise; maintain seasonal displays and store areas to company standards.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed and process directives and communications.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention activities.
