Job summary

Family Dollar in Poynette, Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure store standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with a preference for prior store-management experience in retail or grocery environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment and deliver customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
