Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes following company processes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, face shelves, and build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Assist in plan‑o‑gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness including trash, floors, restrooms, and stockroom.
• Greet customers entering the store.
• Maintain register countertops and assist with register plan‑o‑grams.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and bag items.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Open/close the store under direction of Area Manager; authorize refunds and overrides as needed.
• Monitor cash levels and security practices; assist with cash control procedures.
• Monitor cameras for unusual activities; provide cashier support when required.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation on time.
