Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist with plan-o-gram implementation, provide exemplary customer service, and help maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Experience with IBM cash register operations.
• Understanding of plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves according to store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Operate cash register and process payments accurately.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Maintain clean front-end and stock areas; rotate stock.
• Open/close store per Area Manager directions.
