Job summary

Five Below is seeking an energetic manager-in-training to support daily store operations and customer service excellence. You will train crew, oversee associates, receive stock, and help run opening/closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. This hourly role offers growth and key responsibilities in merchandising and staff leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure they perform well and serve customers.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking responsibility for store operations and staff management.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, ensure smooth daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and staffing.
• Partner with leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance like cleaning and stocking areas.
