Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervising staff, merchandising, paperwork, and deposits.

You may perform stocking and cashiering duties, and support the Store Manager to maximize profitability and reduce losses. Responsibilities include leading customer service, scheduling and training employees, managing inventory and planograms, and maintaining financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cashier.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training employees, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow work processes for receiving, stocking, rotating, and merchandising displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist in planogram implementation and merchandise presentation as directed.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits; handle refunds and overrides.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
